Ancillary Task 2: Album covers

At the moment we are editing the music video. Also we have nearly completed the album covers, both front and back, so far they look like this, but still need some modifications. With the use of photoshop we have managed to design this covers, which we are happy with the outcome.

Editing...

Having filmed ALL of our footage, with some new ideas and extra (more recent) shots thrown in, we're moving on to editing our footage using Final Cut Express.

Downloading all the footage from the camera (tapes) and cutting up which parts we want to use is proving a lenghty process, but all the same - it needs doing!

Final Cut, whilst more complicated to use, has quite a few advantages over basic softwares such as iMovie, especially in the ability to colour grade footage, which will likely come in handy to achieve a more professional, higher concept look.

Filming

Having filmed at various locations with the story shoots and performance shoots we are now in the process of editing them. So far we have footage from the college performance theatre, and also we filmed the performance part in the college music studio. Huncoat power station and a church which we shoot for the story part of our music video.

We have now decided to reshoot the video with a different band instead of Joe's band, but with them still preforming but with a different song completely.
Having nearly finished reshooting we have the track and are well on way with our ancillary task.
